What a photography portfolio site actually needs
Most website builders are made for shops and startups, so photographers end up fighting layouts that shrink their images. A portfolio needs the opposite: large images, quiet typography, fast loading, and a single link that works everywhere you introduce yourself.
- A grid that shows photographs large, with no captions or badges competing for attention
- A clean, memorable link — your handle, not a random subdomain path
- Camera, lens and exposure details available when a viewer wants them, hidden when they don't

How Gallerya works
Sign up, choose your @handle, and upload a batch of photographs. Gallerya reads camera and lens data from your files automatically, so gear details are filled in for you — you decide whether they are shown publicly. Every photograph also gets its own shareable page that carries the title, description and photographer credit.
Your portfolio is public by default, which means search engines and image search can reach the work instead of hiding it behind a login.
Free to start, room to grow
Gallerya is free and includes an upload allowance that covers a serious portfolio. Premium members of The Global Photography Community get higher upload limits when an archive outgrows it.
